So i ended up going to the dealership 20 minutes away. And let me say good customer service does exist. These guys treated me like i was some type of vip customer. spent hour or so at the dealer and they fixed everything on the spot. met with parts guys, sales and service. I went in for some minor things and they helped me out with so much more. They will be my go to ford dealer from now on.
They get paid for warranty work. If the approach is going to be "if we can't make all of the money, then we don't want to make any of the money", I'd make that happen! Screw them!
its such a great business strategy to make sure that the customer that didn't buy from you before doesn't ever come back for anything else!
what I really don't get is why the service manager even cares. His compensation is very unlikely based on vehicle sales volume.
