oops, sleep shopping again.
I've mentioned B4 how at times I sleep eat, sleep shop etc. and not remember it (probably caused by my sleeping pills). Well apparently I did it again last night. This time I ordered a set of Edelbrock performer heads, to complete the carb, Cam, Intake, heads, timing chain, and fuel pump "Performer Package". These components are all made to work together for a power band from idle to 5500 RPM on my 68,302 which is what I am after. Don't expect pics of them installed any time soon as, I'm not quite sure how to explain them to my wonderful wife, Hmmm.

....Honey....look what followed me home. The poor mistreated things, they look like they've been lost for ages. I'll bet someone is looking for them, we'll put up fliers around the neighborhood. I'm sure someone will call and be tickled to get them back safe and sound. In the mean time we better get them indoors and in a safe place...

omg, i sleep shop all the time! I just tell the wife it was on sale. Thats what she does to me anyway

Jimmy - you should give lessons on how you do this and get away with it. Charge a fee and you can give the $$$ to your wife. She will tell you to keep doing it.

I've been putting hardwood floor in the bedrooms, and the weather has been unusually warm, great for cruising. 
I thought I'd put a little into the "earning points with the Mrs" account but we all know those points don't add up !

Bad news good news?????? I usually get super fast delivery from Summit, so when I had not heard from them I called. It seems that I placed more than that one order the other night and the whole thing was declined by my credit card (short by just a couple bucks). As much as I was looking forward to putting those heads on, I'm kinda relieved that I wont have to have that conversation with My wife, she is really cool but $1600 plus the other orders I have coming would have certainly caused some discussion followed by total silence for a while. Any good marriage is based on trust and honesty, so even though I'm embarrassed to post this, its for the best. Ill end up getting the heads just not today

Well Jim,
Its probably for the best. Since the weather is getting colder, life would be a little uncomfortable with the wife putting the cold on you as well. A happy woman is a happy home.

Jimmy it must have been meant to be and for the best. My 5.0 would still light them up without all the extra speed equipment. So you should still have fun with it and you saved $1600 bucks plus you have a happy wife. Much more important than a few horses.
