Tech Folder

I'm definitely going to bookmark this. I knew there were a lot of things that could be done to the Executive, but I had no idea there were this many. As the budget improves I'll have to look into checking a few of these out.

thank you for posting this.

James, I cut your post from the thread you posted in because it was no longer a relevant thread. I updated your post with a link to the tech folder so the thread makes sense for anyone reading.

The tech folder is a sticky thread (always on top) listing all the mods and maintenance information we've collected over the years.

Stewart

I'm new to forscan, I have the mx+ link adapter. I bought forscan pro app thinking it was better than lite but I am having some issues. I'm trying to find a way to edit injector iqa on a 2014 6.7.
I have the forscan pro app on my android phone. It seems like I can't do anything but look for codes. I thought I would be able to run cylinder contribution tests or other diagnostics but I can't seem to find any way to do it. I'm connected to the obd adapter via Bluetooth, it knows the vin of the truck, just seems incredibly limited. I understand that I may need a download on my laptop to do what I am trying to do. If I try forscan lite would that allow me to do more? Or should I just go right to the PC download and start there? I've read so much about these things that my eyes are bleeding. 😆 any help or a push in right direction would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to do something that seems quite simple with the right equipment, I just haven't found the right combination of tools just yet.

@fuelsmoke1 , in order to get into the more advanced functions of FORScan, you need to be on a PC. Identifying DTC's, monitoring OID's and running tests are the primary benefits of the mobile version.

That said, below are some documents taken from the 7.3L PSD sub-forum tech folder.

FORScan
Some of the details will not work for your 6.7L, but the link below will get you a bit more information.

Link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...hlight=Forscan

If you are still unable to find what you need, check out the 6.7L sub-forum.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the help. All I want yo do is change iqa number on 2 injectors. Nothing serious, unless you don't have the software! I really appreciate your help. I will dig into this info and see if I can get another step closer to a solution. I'm going to load forscan onto my laptop so that I can dig myself into a deeper hole. 😆

The fellas in the 6.7L sub-forum would be your best source of information regarding the injectors in your engine.

Be sure to save your database before making any changes. There are some things in there you don't want to mess with unless you really know what you are doing.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks sous, I'm setting up forscan PC now. If I run into further issues I'll go to 6.7 forum.
