Just purchased a 1949 F68 that has already been mostly restored. It has the working dump box and other than the tailgate, taillights and rear of the box it appears to be all original. Bought it from a Ford dealer that was thinning out his collection. We'll be driving it until the snow falls and they salt the roads. It needs work on gauges, box wooden supports and missing screws and rubber parts but I think this site will be a great help in that area.
Just curious how it drives as a stock truck. I just brought home a 49 F68 that my grandpa left me when he passed. I would like to restore it to stock but curious how they drive. The last time I rode in this truck was 25 years ago.
