Today I looked at a Bronco to purchase. It is a 1978 with a date of mfg of 9/77. What month did the full size Bronco start? Was it August or September? It is Ranger XLT with quad front shocks, factory CB (minus the Mike, which I already have.) Air, cruise, light package, 351 rebuilt in 08 with 27054mles on rebuild, trans rebuilt in 12 with 9241 mies on it. He showed me the garage receipts with mileage. He has not run the Bronco in over two years. Bench front seat and rear seat. Rear window works.
He did not have a battery in it so I could not hear it run. Also, sliding side windows. I need to look up vin code on here. Now I'm trying to decide if I like his asking price. He approached me about buying his Bronco.
Good one. I know the new calendar year starts then but what about when Ford changed from old production year to the new production year. As in the 78 Bronco. Did Ford start the full size Bronco in August or September of 1977?
I don't know when the Bronco started, but a new manufacturing year starts on July 1st. I have a Mini made in July of 07 and it's an 08.
How much does he want? I would want to hear it run before I bought it unless it was so cheap it didn't matter. Have you crawled underneath and looked for rust?
