F350 front spring question/s

Evening fellas, bare with me; I have a specific question that I dont want to deviate from.
I'm looking for some new tires for a used set of 16x12 weld rims I ran across and I found some good deals on Toyo Open Country MTs. I figured I'd buy a set before the white stuff starts to fly. The size I'm looking at is the 385/70/16, so 38x15.50. My issue is that I'll get tire scrub on the back side of my front fender flares unless I put a zero rate in the front (I used these on the last truck I built). I kinda planned on using these some day hence the new front bumper which allows for pushing the front axle fwd with no front scrub.
http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/Zero%20Rates.htm
So, to use these in my old truck (gas) I removed the small leaf and replaced it with a zero rate.
For those of you who've played with springs, how bad do you think the front end would sag if any with the small springs on the bottom of the packs removed? The truck rides pretty damn stiff currently, I'm thinkin it'll probably be ok..

Not sure on that one. I've never tried anything like that before. You may just have to try it and see what happens.

What do you mean by small springs? The single 6" long plate bolted to the bottom of the factory 2 leaf spring or taking some of the leafs from the zero rate "add-a-leaf"?

I gurss I kinda talked in circles Brad. I actually have a set of what I think are superlift 6" springs in the front; the packs are pretty stiff. I was thinking about removing the bottom spring on both sides and replacing it with the zero rates to push my axle fwd and to keep the truck level. If I dont remove a spring it'll be higher in the front..

I did kinda a similar thing in my crewcab when I had the OBS lift springs.

SKY RSK, 4" Superlift springs with 2 of the 6 leafs removed.

The rear I had 6" skyjacker springs with the fitted add-a-leaf

it rode Very well with that setup

Gotcha, I have a question then. When you removed the two leafs did you notice any sag after a while? I'm assuming this was a 7.3 truck? Thanks.

No, zero sag. This was on my 460 truck. Had it setup like that for about 10 years

Looks damn nice Brad, thanks. Out of curiosity did you use a center bearing spacer with that setup?

no. But I couldn't tell you if there was vibration from it or not. The swampers carried on so much you couldn't tell

Yeah I bet! I ran a set of 35/12.5/16.5 SSRs on my white 97 cc but they were eons ahead of traditional interco tread patterns/compounds..
