Noticed Nevada has a 1968 Ford step side F100 that the school district has been hiding now up for auction on public surplus. Looks like a pretty nice dry climate truck; also has a 70 international D1200 three on the tree. Too far from my house? Link to Ford; on public surplus.com Nevada. Public Surplus: Auction #1729219
Did Ford call it a Flareside back then? I don't have any brochures that old. When I bought my 1980 F150 it was a Flareside.
Flareside name dates back to...at least...1957, as this the first year that Ford offered a Styleside. These two names define which pickup bed is which.
Thanks Jeff I learned something new today. I have to be careful on the learning thing I tend to forget something in its place. One day I'll forget something important like how to breath or swallow
It's like the difference between 'magazine' and 'clip' in firearms nomenclature, there will always be a certain number of people who won't bother to make the distinction.
Speaking of terms .....Just like an AR-15 isn't an "assault riffle." It's a semi-automatic (one round per trigger pull). An assault riffle is fully automatic. Looking like an assault riffle isn't the same thing as being one. Looks don't determine the firearm type. The action does.

I think a magazine belongs in a riffle and a clip belongs in a pistol. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My buddy has a M-1 Garand. Fun weapon to shoot. I hit a small boulder on top of the mountain next to the one I was standing on up in Camp Verde,AZ. So I know the difference between a Clip and a Magazine.
These are clips for a M-1 Garand.
And this is a magazine.
Garand 'kicks' like an angry mule. If I shoot a rifle that kicks like this, it's gotta be more interesting than a Garand, Sharps "Big Fifty" (.50-110-500) for one.
