I think a magazine belongs in a riffle and a clip belongs in a pistol. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
A clip is a thing that feeds a magazine, a magazine simply holds rounds. They sometimes work together but they aren't the same thing and they are found in both pistols and rifles.
Clips are largely obsolete, magazines are ubiquitous.
It's really not a big deal as most gun guys will know what you mean if you get the terms mixed up. But they will definitely correct you.
Arguments about firearms and nomenclature aside, I find it interesting when I compare my 69 Flareside 4WD to the ones in the pictures that the sides of my Flareside box are taller than the Fords in the pictures.
Speaking of terms .....Just like an AR-15 isn't an "assault riffle." It's a semi-automatic (one round per trigger pull). An assault riffle is fully automatic. Looking like an assault riffle isn't the same thing as being one. Looks don't determine the firearm type. The action does.
When the AR-15 was first used in Viet Nam the selector had "Safe" semi, and auto, as choices. Near the end of the M-16's deployment it was changed to semi and (3 round) burst. The M-4 has the same.

Is yours a F-250 with an 8 foot bed? My '69 F-250 4x4 has a flareside bed like yours, longer and taller than the beds on the F-100s.
It has to do with the wheelbase and or F350 or not. 3 different pairs of bedsides listed for Bumps.

It would be interesting to know the specific dimensions. Do you think the F350 box is shallower? My one regret from the restoration was I didn't cut the box down so it lined up with the character line on the cab. I think the shorter box looks more proportionate.
