Adding a cargo camera to truck

I have a 2016 Ford F250 Super Duty with a factory installed back up camera in the tailgate. I tow a fifth wheel trailer and do not have a good line of sight view to back up and hook up the trailer.
I am planning to purchase a factory FC3Z-14A412-A wiring harness so that when I unplug my factory camera I can plug in an after market camera that I have mounted on the fifth wheel pin housing.

I have ordered a Pyle PLCM38FRV after market camera that comes with mounting hardware and wiring harnesses.

My plan is to mount the camera and connect the wiring from the camera to the new harness I bought. This will allow me to have both cameras installed and viewed through my SYNC screen. (not at the same time)
I have no idea what the wires in the harness are and what they do and I have a pretty good idea what is coming out of the camera,
Can anyone help me with the correct way to wire the two harnesses together so it works. Hope this all makes sense.

Check out Camera-Source before going any further.
I believe they have exactly what you're looking for.

Success

Okay, so it has now been a couple of months and everything is working as planned. The only change I made to my installation was to add the ability to unplug the camera wiring from the factory wiring harness using a male/female 4 wire plug that I found out on ebay.

So for those of you wanting to do this same thing, here are my steps and the solution to the wiring.

Ordered a factory wiring harness from Ford as per my first post. Ordered the Pyle camera from Ebay.

Cut the camera end off of the Ford wiring harness and wired it as follows:

Violet with green stripe wiring harness to the Camera + wire
Green with Violet stripe wiring harness left blank
Brown from wiring harness to camera - wire
White with green stripe from wiring harness to video + wire
Black from wiring harness to ground of camera.

The camera has been installed now and working perfectly. I have it zip ties to my louvered fifth wheel tailgate and attached a small magnet to the bottom of the camera. When I am hitching up the fifth wheel I turn the camera toward the bed of the truck. When I don't have the fifth wheel attached to the truck I turn it around and now have a great functioning back up camera, just like with the factory tailgate camera.

Hope all of the makes sense. I have less than $65 invested in the entire setup and it comes in very clear on my factory screen in the truck.

I did something similar. I wanted to be able to view the goose and the drawbar on the fly. Check my thread:

Before I wired in the bed cam, I had a spycam type deal that paired with my phone. I put a horseshoe magnet on it and I would stick that on so I could see what I was doing. The problem with that is I had no real depth perception off that cheap cam. Not to say it did not help.

In the two weeks that this bed cam has been installed, I have used it five times. And Everytime it was exactly what I needed

I still have that little sycamore and I use it a lot for troubleshooting. Want to know if your drive shaft has a wobble? Stick it to the frame and drive the road.

Let me know if you need any help with you install.
