Thanks, everyone for the comments and help. I had to take a short hospital break but I should be back at it in a few days. I too was thinking along the lines of one of the springs.
I considered disc because it is on my list of upgrades anyway and if I am going to be in there, I might as well take care of both issues at once. But, with all the other issues that need to be addressed, finding the culprit parts and replacing them may be the proper way to go.
No, Mervy, it appears to be the left front with the major issue.
Number Dummy, are all or most of those part numbers still translateable today?
I remember when I rebuild the brakes on my 35 coupe, the parts were very easy to find. But that was back in 66.
