Does anyone know the order that Ford assigns vins when a new truck starts down the line. I have seen some with the last 5 digits in the 4000,5000 range. Mine is over 18000. Not enough numbers to make 100000+ trucks in a year.

 

The last 8 digits are the unique sequence. The 8th from the end is the year (H for 2017), leaving 7 digits for unique identifies. Two of these are often letters (I think one is the plant, and the other is probably a letter for number, so giving 26 options rather than 10, accounting for all the produced trucks in a year.
