Hey all.Was just looking through the latest j.c.whitney cat. and saw an extra cap. auto trans. pan.Extra cap. for my E40D is 3qts.
approx 18% more fluid.I would think more fluid =more heat
dissapation.Any thoughts on this?Or a waste of $? $190.00.
I've got a B&M extra capacity pan on my e4OD, about 4160 from Summit. Why pay JCW more for brand X? Combined with an oversized cooler, and a Perma-Cool remote filter, the deep sump pan keps my tranny temps well below 200° even when towing.
StrangeRanger,
The one in whitney is a B&M.The kit includes: built in drain plug,
gasket, bolts. No filter though.Made of cast aluminum. Is this the same kit you got from Summit for $41.60?I think that's what you meant by 4160.I've also got the Super Cooling Package(OEM)and
an aux. cooler up front. But your happy with the add on?I do alot of beach driving with low tire p.s.i. and it puts a strain on the system.
Thanks
