Okay I saw this on tv and it sounds like it would work but im not sure of the after effects .
Has anyone ever had to do work on thier diff and find it hard to put the lube in it.
They people on this show put their gear lube in a bag and put it in the diff When I is driven the gear rips the bag apart and ends up grinding it so small that it wont harm anything in the diff
No the only part that concerns me is can the bag get tangled in the gears and jam it up but then again its only plastic
What do you guys think have any of you guys done this
The people also said that it was OK for a quickie fix and not for long term use.
I couldn't believe the American team wasn't smart enuf to cut the lower radiator hose and use lakewater for cooling, -they could have taken first again!
What I thought was funny was the russians amagination there all nuts!
Quike fix, it sounded good though. I wish it wasn't. But I never saw that done and thought It might not be so bad in long term use but to have tiny parts of plastic in my gear lube would make me worry
Yes it would make more sense to do that if it it was in the lake all the time I thought they were making it amphibious land and water it you cut the hose it would only work in water
The plastic isn't 1/1000 strong enough to jam the gears, and it won't affect the oil, either. You could drive as long as you want on it. The longer the better, because it would get ground finer & finer over time. The initial tear is the most dangerous because that's when it's most likely to block an oil passage.
