I am in the midst of ordering both the FX4 and Camper Pkg on F250 Lariat.
Currently towing 7k TT. May move to either 5th Wheel or Camper. Not sure which one. How will the ride be affected by ordering both packages? Will the truck be level? Will the 2 packages complement each other?
They go fine together.
The FX4 package just adds slightly nicer shocks (rancho) and skid plates.
The Camper Pkg increases springs and adds a rear sway bar and auxiliary springs.
You won't notice much of a difference in ride quality if any at all compared to no packages. If anything it will be slightly stiffer.
Are you going gas or diesel? If gas make sure to get the 4.30 gear ratio.
If diesel definitely look at the f350 srw for the increase in payload (f250 only has ~2400 lbs payload with the diesel engine and ~3300 with gas).

I don't think with ANY of the packages that Ford offers, the truck will sit level. They will all be higher in the back. Only way to get a level 250/350/450 is to put a "leveling" kit on it aftermarket.
Also the truck will not be level no matter what packages you choose. Ford doesn't design trucks to be level without a load, they want the truck to be level loaded so they will always give it a rake. The front will be about 2-3" lower than the rear.
You would need to add a leveling kit to make it look level.

I don't know about the new ones but my F350 with the tow package and the plow prep sat level. The heavier springs in the plow package brought the front end up. That may not be true with the new ones. And the camper and tow package alone would have the rear higher than the front because they don't add the heavier suspension in front.
Smart move. The F250 really doesn't have much payload. I have been towing an 18,000 GVW trailer with no issues (diesel). Wouldn't want to put that much pin weight on a 250.
Thanks for your comments. Yes was considering gas. I would have moved up from the 3.73 but its a stretch to 4.30. Its too bad they don't have something in between
