Yeah...but that doesn't prove that those holes are the actual sensors...does it?
Well I have a new Escalade with the same inclination/motion sensors in the alarm system and they are in the same spot and look the same, so I'm highly confident that's what they are.
Again, make a call while on Bluetooth. Tap them. The person on the other end will hear your taps. Two of them are microphones. I will still assert that the two others are for noise cancelation.
For whats it worth my salesman said two of them were motion sensors for the alarm. The concept being to help if you leave a child in the vehicle, their movement sets off the alarm on the truck so someone finds them. He stated by asking if I had kids, I said no, then he asked if I had a dog, I said of course I had a dog, why else would I buy a truck? So anyway he went on to explain that when I cut off the truck I would be presented with two options on the dash for the alarm. The default includes the regular car alarm plus the inside motion sensors. You have to arrow down to the second one to disable the interior motion sensors, as he suggested when leaving the dog in the truck, else you won't be happy when mans best friend sets off the alarm. Again, this is just what was told me, I have been turning it off when I leave my furry girl in the truck.
Kampn, that was funny about the dogs, my wife made me trade in my '08 6.4 SC because the back windows only vented out and not roll down completely. Bought a 2010 SD CC for pulling 5th wheel, but mostly for doggie comfort. Getting ready to order new CC all because of the second row windows. Happy wife, happy life.
I looked at them yesterday, they look exactly like ultrasonic sensors to me. Sync mics are up there too, but they are not the 4 obvious sensors, they are forward more.

Yes, I looked again and I agree, screwy. The Sync mics are more forward towards the windshield behind different grilles. Must be 4 ultrasonic sensors for the interior alarm system.

I don't think they are mics....I think it's been proven that they are motion sensors.

You can hear the taps on the phone he is talking about because the actual mics are just ahead of the sensors. The taps resonate through the panel and you hear the tap.
Yep, I was wrong. Never even noticed the grills a few inches up until it was mentioned here. Tested again and the grills for sure are the mics, not the circular holes.
Agree. Looked closely at them today. For sure not lights! Has anyone used that function? How does it work?
We’ll I can’t speak for the F series trucks but the Expedition console has 2 rear facing items that appear not to do anything but are actually motion sensors for security, in the event someone enters while a locked vehicle’s windows are down or gains entry otherwise while the system is armed - as in maybe hiding inside or whatever.
This goes all the way back to the 2013 Fusion. Same question was brought up back then, what are those things in the overhead. Security sensors. This thread, I swear is nearly identical to that one! LMAO.
The first Super Duty I test drove in July 2021 had those. The salesman and I spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how to turn those little "lights" on.
I already knew exactly what I wanted in a truck from playing with the build-a-truck tool. I was shopping for a salesman/dealer.
I went somewhere else.
