So I have decided that I am going to get a folding cover for a variety of reasons.
Right now I am looking at the Bakflip and Ford cover made by Rev. The basic G2 from backflip would be cheaper by a couple hundred dollars compared to the ford labled on from Rev. The goal is to have it put on by the dealership before I take it off the lot.
Have you guys had any good bad or ugly with either of these covers? Opinions please!
This will be my first Tonneau cover on any of my trucks. I will be getting the BakFlip G2 next Tuesday. I love the simplicity and durability of it, to along with the security it has with the tailgate.

That is the direction I am leaning. Combining the sale price with the military discount, free shipping and no tax...I am looking at $745 OTD for the G2. That's hard to beat.
I know the G2 is a little cheaper than the BakFlip F1, but after having 3 F1's I will never buy another cover. The F1 is their flagship model. Call BakFlip and ask for Morrie or you can email him at morrie@dinamitetbs.com. Tell him you are a forum member and you can get a decent discount. I have dealt with him directly for a few years, he is a stand up guy.
I have the backflip fibermax on my F150. I like it better than the G2 Aluminum panels. I have had both. It has a texture to the top and the paint is deeper. I'm thinking it will be more scratch resistant also. They both are warranted the same and support the same amount of weight Just slightly more money.
I had a hard folding cover on my 2016 and loved if, I was going to get the same for my 2017 but then I found that ford bought and modified the Rev hard roll-up with the ford logo, they sold it to me for around the same price as the bak fold, and I have to tell ya, this one is 100 times better!
I'm looking into the Pace Edward's Bed Locker. It's a bit more money, but the advantage of the electric rollup when towing with the fifth wheel is very nice.

I had a bakflip on my last truck and loved it except for when I towed as it blocked the entire window unless you remove it. I didn't want to remove it because then I couldn't lock things in the back when I arrived at my destination. This time I am going with the revolver x2 or the ford version which is still made by bakflip so my back window isn't blocked.
Side note: Line-x has some that are made by bakflip that have lifetime warranties. A little more money but might be worth it for that warranty and how line-x generally is with warranty work.
the flip is heavy and time consuming to upen all the way and it blocks the window if you need the full box, the hard roll is light and fast to roll back and it sits low on the window, it also locks all the way down and doesn't use Velcro, and you can load plywood on top, looks cleaner to!

The dealership wants to do the tri-fold Ford for $845 plus a half hour for labor. I just looked at the ford and it is not flush with the bed rails, however as mentioned above...not obscuring the entire back window when up is pretty awesome.
What tri-fold ford? If it is the rev, that is just a rebranded bakflip and will block the window. All of the tri-folds (that I have seen) if they have the ability to be fully open obstruct your view out of the back window. Some don't have the ability to be fully open and will only fold up to the front of the bed but will leave that front most panel laying flat at all times and the rest just pack on top. Those ones are the worst in my opinion. At minimum I would want to be able to fully open and lay the tri-fold against my back window.

It's not exactly the same. Rev/Ford replace all the plastic hardware for metal, the enclosures for the slam latches etc. the rails for the cover are wider, also a Ford change. It's built better than the one Bak Industries sells.
