I am currently on the OBS power stroke side of the forum. My truck has been great. I do have repair costs but I expect that. Currently we use the truck for work with a car trailer and put a camper in the back for family trips.
The roads up here are salted. My truck is a 97 so it has seen a lot of salt. The cab floor, windshield, lower front pillars are rusted out. I do have a cab given to me that has dents and a fender horn bent in. I could do a cab swap but it is a time thing right now.
So cutting the BS I am looking at replacing the truck. I found a 2011 f350 with 98ooo miles for under 30g. I don't know if it is a good deal and am not sure what to look at on these newer trucks. I do have AE for my 97 so maybe I could plug in with that? I scanned the read first section and didn't find a buyers guide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The other truck I am looking at is a 15 and it has some trouble. Inspection report says driveshaft needs to be replaced, rear bumper bent in, something about left fender needs to be replaced and it has rust spots already. All that for 48k😮
