Fishbone help - engine knock

I have been searching and reading and thought I had it nailed down with injector knock. Opened her up last weekend and got about 1/4 to 1/3 turn for injector bolts on passenger side. Feeling good, I was like this has to be it, fired up and nope still there.

99 with 186K, 38r, frx, adrenaline hpop, all injectors replaced feb 2012(AB)
AE didn't show any rotation velocity difference but did fail on CCT for cylinder 3

3 weeks ago:
Fuel pressure held at 65-70 through wot
Drivers side retorqued
Oil/filter change
Fuel filter change

Last weekend
Opened up fuel drain while running. Solid fuel flow. No bubbles observed
Passenger side torqued, no change
Disconnected each injector on passenger side and fired up, no change on knock
Buzz sounded same as normal
CCT - P0269 cylinder 3 fail balance/cont(this is the side that is the loudest)
Injectors all ohm out to 3.6 or 3.7 with lead resistance of .5 (square plug on top of valve cover)

Plans for this weekend:
Re torque all bolts both sides
Validate fulcrum is in contact on all eight and not all to one side
Check for bent push rod
Compression test
Swap #3 injector with another
Re validate air in fuel with clear tube
Adding drain oil and tap on oil pan for any large parts potentially bouncing around. Any other thoughts?

I could never pin down my knock, and it started to quickly progress - after 90,000 miles of knocking. I'm now in the process of swapping the engine.

That is the exact same knock I have. Did make it through most all my checks yielding no definitive results. Compression very similar if not same as in 2012, 300-320. Do you plan to tear down the knocker or just swap and move forward?

One interesting bit, there is something in the bottom of the oil pan you can hear when tapping with mallet. I do need an oil pan here before long, if it makes it to then, perhaps we will learn then what this acute knock is.

After fighting that knock for 90K miles, I am a tad curious... so I may open it up to inspect it after pulling. It depends on my mood, because I'm pretty disgusted with that engine.
