For those that have their 2017's and have played around with the various screens; Has anyone found a way to do a manual regen? I do alot of city driving and would love a way to do it manually.
Exception: Yup, but can only happen on an XL or XLT. Some of the guys are working with their FORSCAN program trying to unlock the codes. Since the entire computer is different on the bases models I would not hold out for any mods within the Ford system on the higher level trucks. Best hope would be for an aftermarket device which could be used to step in when required.
Edge CTS Insight worked great on my 15! You might see if Edge has updated it for the 17 model number yet. Between having the manual regen option available and being able to monitor many different PIDs I found it invaluable and will get one for the new truck

I had a SVT Edge on my 2007 and would never buy another SVT product. They not only lacked PIDs (and had no intention of adding more) but the unit would forget the stock tune if the voltage got too low (had a broken battery post and barely made it home one time.) Good tunes but terrible customer service IMHO.

I have always used SCT products for tunes so I don't have any experience with Edge for that. I will say that when the newer version of the Insight CTS came out they no longer supported my older product with PIDs for new vehicles so I couldn't use it on my 16 F150. Having said that unless some other company offers a comparable product that will both monitor and allow manual regens I will probably buy another one
You do realize someone has to find the option, test it and then submit it for it to become plain english right? That means someone has to experiment on their truck or find comparisons. So really without people willing to trial and error or do research and compare, giving it time will not really do anything.
Of course I understand that. I'm the one that brought Forscan to the 2017 section remember? If you aren't confident to make changes and experiment just wait and someone else will. It will be a plain English option eventually as someone who knows more than you will figure it out, submit it, and it will be incorporated in the next version release...
This is the second thread I've read tonight where fidel.medrano and Karl4cat have gotten into a pissing contest with each other while providing no useful info for anyone.

I'm now convinced they are both women and their cycles are in sync...
