mirror help please
I am currently in the process of upgrading the mirrors on my xl. I have the factory harness along with factory switch and factory mirrors. I have looked at numerous wiring diagrams, I have the standard xlt mirrors that do not fold or heat or defrost, they only move mirror glass. I can not find the correct diagram that only shows the mirror wiring without all the other features. I have ran my power and grounds, connected my yellows together, reds together, blues together and they still do not work. What am i missing???

I'm an electrician, not a car mechanic, so don't take my advice too seriously! But just stumbled upon this thread. Make sure though that you have power! That you didn't accidentally blow the fuse somehow. If you connected all the wires together and it still doesn't work, than that is my guess, that you don't have power. If you have a voltmeter, put one lead to ground and the other to your power. Hopefully you will have voltage. If so, then that is past my knowledge. If you have no power, than you PROBABLY have a blown fuze in your fuze box. Good luck!

I have the power wires hooked up to a jump box. I have power going to everything. I have traced it with volt meter and test light. I have noticed that if i touch the yellow wires (motor feed) to the hot or ground they will move just in the opposite direction of the switch. Im basically hooking them up on the bench to figure out the wiring then installing on truck
