Got the truck tinted!

Got the truck tinted!
Hey guys!
I know everyone does the basic mods out of the gate, but it seems like everyone always wonders how tint looks once installed.
My truck has Huper Optik tint on all windows except the pano roof.
Tint percentages:
Rear glass and windows = 20% to match fronts
Front windows = 5%
Windshield = 35%
I personally love it this way! Looks great on black and keeps the truck a bit cooler in the summer too.
And for those wondering- NJ has self inspection for any diesel over 8k GVRW. So it makes for a nice clean windshield.

I did the backs because factory is probably about 25% and I didn't want them not to match the 5% I did on the front driver and passenger windows. From the outside and inside the truck windows all have the same transparency now.

Same here! Windshield would last about a day around here. I use the clear on the windshield on every vehicle to cut down the heat but if you use anything darker they really hassle you around here. Looks good and it is DARK!

Wow, that does look good. I must be blind though, I just realized the windshield at the top isn't cut straight across. I have been lurking here for months, built countless 2017 trucks (getting it narrowed down) and never noticed the windshield. Now I have to wait until it gets light out here and look at my 2011. Again, sharp looking truck.

Jersey law doesn't allow anything forward of the B pillar, but I've had no issues cruising with this set up on my old truck. It's not legal, but I suppose they're more worried about cars and youngins than me in my truck. I was only pulled over once before and the cop even said "it looks great, but it's illegal." Lol

Tint Laws
also for links to specific state codes:
Window Tint Laws: State-Specific Information - FindLaw
There's quite a few other references for this on the interwebs because all tint shops need to know what the rules are when an out-of-state vehicle rolls into their shop, or someone with noticeable tint decides to go on a multi-state road trip.
It probably depends greatly on where you actually drive a tinted truck like that. In nice areas or out in the country nobody suspects anything. Granted that a big pickup isn't a drug-dealer's choice vehicle, but an Escalade with that amount of tint in a rough area would be a magnet for attention from police.

That tint laws website isn't accurate.
For instance it says in texas the rear windows have to be 25 percent.
The facts *in texas*
The state law actually exempts the rear side windows.
Rear window is exempted as long as you have side mirrors.
Front side windows are limited to 25 percent.
