Just had the Factory A/C under dash completely restored and found we are missing the Heater control Valve cable and gromet, Any idea where we can locate one? Thanks
We used to buy these wirewound cables at local parts houses in the 60's~70's for the old tractors on the farm. choke/throttle/etc
I would have bought this had I seen it sooner. Then I could have made my own cables just for the heck of it.
Carpenter has this listed as C6TZ-17261 (his part number) .. Speedometer Cable to Firewall Seal: 1967/72, but there's no mention inre to it being the same as a heater cable seal.
I looked at the A/C 18518 temp cable, no seal (grommet) is shown, but the heater only 18518 temp control cable, the seal is shown, looks just like Mac's/Carpenter's.
These seals "as original" .. AFAIK, were only available with the heater cables.

Like Orich said the speedometer seal will interchange with the heater cable. If you haven't found the heater cable let me know, I've got a couple extra sets of cables and they don't fit the Classic Auto Air system I put in my 70.
