Navigation Firmware Update?
2003 Expedition EB
I have the navigation radio but it doesn't show the "PLAN" option on the map that is supposed to show you what streets the computer is planing on taking. I have "detour" "cancel" and another option that I don't recall. Is/was there a firmware update on this? I see the option presented in the manual, but nowhere on the actual system.

Navigation Firmware Update?
Well on closer inspection in the manual, when I wasn't practically asleep, it states that the "plan" option is only available before you start your route. Great, another wonderful "feature".
That leads to my second question... Who makes this unit? Is it a Visteon Navigation Radio? Anyone tried to get somewhat custom firmware that doesn't have all these silly lock outs on it? or know where I can?
For some reason there is very limited information (basically none) on the internet about the navigation system in the Expedition.
