So I've bought a 96 f150 and I noticed that the trans has been over filled by the previous owner, and yes I checked after i drove it around. It looks like it has been recently gone through and got a new shift linkage. I was wondering, is there an easy way to drain or suck some fluid out with out taking the pan off.
Thanks,
Keegan

Reason: Wrong info
There is a rubber splice hose & 2 clamps on the return line coming from the trans cooler near the bottom of the radiator shroud. Undo the end closest to the trans & tip into a clean jar/container. You can run it for a few seconds to get more flow.
To get to the torque converter drain plug you'll need to turn the engine by tapping the start. This is a horrible task to do alone, get someone to help and get under the truck while the helper taps the start at your command until the plug is accessible.
Breaker bar+extension+socket+turning engine+pull rubber plug+ locate pipe plug+remove same with another socket+ fluid down arm & covering hand while trying to get container under hole & trying to get plug back through 2 inch hole as torque converter drains all over socket or fingers while trying not to cross-thread plug...
