So I had an abused grille that cane with my truck and i forgot I had it laying around and decided to do another grille cutout.
This is what I have so far.
On the last one I did I had it attached with 4x 1/4-20 bolts going through the last bar and bottom of grille. This is my second one that I am making and would like to get it down real good b4 butchering a brand new 1. I have another stock grille ready to get cut, filled, sanded for when I get it 100% good.
I laid the Billet on the back of the stock grille and marked the bars I needed to trim with a silver sharpie using the holes in the stock grille to line up to the Billet mounting holes . Used some yellow tin metal snips. That's is all I had access to. Test fitted and laid it on the grass and stepped on it to get the curve of the stock grille.
Chrome is a bear to remove. I usually use one of those abrasive sanding discs on an angle grinder or a regular grinding wheel if I don't care about the surface finish.
