Can you pull the degas tank and FICM front and rear brackets to reach it.... easier than a turbo for just a plug.
Just did the IPR valve this way, drain a 1/2 gallon of coolant, pull the degas tank and the FICM and you can reach it quite easily . Make sure you get that steel retaining clip back on the plug to prevent it from coming off. Should be done before your coffee gets cold or your beer gets warm.
So now got another question...since I did the EGR delete, when I get on it goin down the highway, I feel a LARGE delay in power. It's also when I'm coming from a dead stop (like at a traffic light). Any ideas about this?
Other issue in havin is I drained the batteries so I charged them using a charger that plugged into the cigarette lighter...next morning my tuner won't turn on at all. Truck starts and runs good just driving point A to point B,just trying to make get 5.0
Cig Lighter and OBD II run on the same fuse. Possible you blew it, check for power from the cig lighter with a cell charger or what ever. If none then the fuse is blown and explains why the tuner won't power on.
Yup...was lookin at the wrong fuse. I think this might be the cause of the turbo lag also, I think the truck was tuned back to stock before I bought it and after doin the EGR delete should run on a performance tune, right?
Did I miss what kind of tuner it is? It it's one that works on the fly instead of re programming altogether that may be the issue if there's no power going to it.
No that would completely reprogram the truck, so it shouldn't be your problem. either way I'd get the fuse fixed and go from there. If it ran fine before the dead battery and now it doesn't start from there, and go through all the fuses. annoying, but If you have a good pair of pliers it's what 3 minutes to pull them all.
That tuner would leave programming in the PCM, doesn't need plugged in and should not hurt the transmission. It's the shift on the fly type to stay away from.
Clean the EBP and MAP sensors and the hose/tube feeding them. Use some weed whacker line to open the hole in the nipple to the intake and clear the EBP tube to exhaust.
