Ok so I have a 1999 f250 7.3 28th about 463,000 miles on it. Lately we have had some pretty rough trips on the old truck and I have been leaning towards a Ts performance chip to give it back the much need power to,make it three the mountains. What do yall think.
I think it's a horrible idea. If your lacking power throwing a chip on a truck with almost half a million miles is not the magical answer you need to diag the truck and figure out what is causing your power loss. Adding a chip to a truck that's not running right is going to cause you even more problems.

Guess I worded that wrong the truck is running fine in fact it just got new injectors. The reason I would being doing this is for the gas mileage and the extra push flake it three the mountains.
A chip is not going to give you extra mileage, that is total BS marketing. My '02 F250 was ok but still not enough power, I installed a BD tow chip that was claimed to have 60 hp and 110 lbs. ft. torque. That one addition made the truck a real joy to drive, I did add 4" exhaust system with it. I really don't think I would do the same thing if it had that many miles though.
