Booster brackets

I'm going to upgrade to power brakes while I'm rebuilding the rest of my brake system but I'm having a hard time finding a set of brackets that I'm sure will fit. Got a NEW 1'' bore drum/drum MC on the way from Napa. I was wondering if anyone had used this particular booster or brackets I'm thinking about getting.

Do you know how are they on quality? And would this work for the push rod?

Nope.. you need the linkages for the bracket.. the linkages then connect to the brake pedal.

I highly recommend you review the diagrams for the brake pedal assembly and booster bracket assembly. It should be evident if you do so... right now it sounds to me your surfing Ebay and hoping it works out.

Many of us get a whole booster setup out of the junk yd. from a vehicle that fits our trucks. And if you want the large booster that's used on the later models that come on the 73-79 trucks you'll need the brake pedal to due to it having the off set later mounting bracket.
Plus the firewall rod linkage hole dust boot.

I got the whole unit with MC and took it to a rebuilder for $102 new 1.1/4"MC.

One thing you want to make sure when ordering a MC is the pistons push travel is long enough so you'll have full pedal travel.

Throughout the years, I've have trouble getting a correct MC where, I had full pedal travel. Every time, I went to a parts store they gave me the wrong one an some were worse then others. I had a lift time warranty and kept exchanging till got one that worked the best but never did get one with full travel to the floor.

Okay now while at one junk yd. came across a 70 with full pedal travel with a 8" P-Booster so got the whole unit and took it to the rebuilder told them of my troubles finding a full travel MC so they fixed me up with a nice setup that worked great on my drum to drum brakes.

But when, I went to front disc brakes that MC did not work so good with the 1.1/4 piston. I even adjusted the rear brake up and still haft a pedal.

So once, I switched to the1" for PB I had almost no free play in the pedal. So I backed off the rear brakes a little. Then everything was okay then.
