How to remove the exterior window chrome trim?
I just bought a beautiful 2010 Navigator and need to replace the passenger side, front, exterior lower window molding/chrome trim at the base of the window. I have purchased the new trim but am not exactly sure how to remove the older one yet? The new one has a short section of adhesive on the left side of the trim that adheres to the vertical door post, and the far right end of the trim tucks under the door mirror trim only about 1/2" or so. At first glance it literally looks like the trim is designed to be inserted on the far right first then the left side is pushed down and snapped in place, all without removing the mirror molding? My concern is that it appears that the only way to remove the door mirror molding is to remove the inside door panel, is this what I need to do? Or is the trim piece designed to be replaced without removing any other parts? Your help is appreciated.

Barry
