Regular cab to a Supercab?

I plan to replace the entire body on my 1977 F250 Ranger 4wd, it is completely shot. I was thinking about swapping out the original standard cab longbed set up to a Supercab shortbed. What kind of work will be involved in making a swap like this? Is it worth the effort and money spent, or would I be better off leaving the original set up?

Reg cab/longbed has 133" wheelbase. Supercab/shortbed has 139" wheelbase. You can extend your frame to make up the difference or make a real short bed.

Hmmm...I guess I'll just stick with the regular cab longbed, I really don't want to butcher my truck like that. Thanks!
