Kill switch help

94 f150 single cab 5.0 2wd aka my new baby.

I am wanting to make it a little harder for potential thieves to steal my truck. For a while I wanted to do something like this to my other truck but faith intervened and she is no longer with me. I now have a new to me truck. So let me get on with it.

I am wanting to use the O/D button as my activator. Thinking deep all they have to do is pop the hood and jump the solenoid and they have them selves a truck.

Here is my question. Can that button(o/d) be used for a "fuel pump kill switch" instead of the stater kill switch as illustrated in this diagram from the12volt.

Another possible button/switch I was thinking of using was the a/c(clutch engage).

Is any of my two choices possible? Any recommendations?

I think I would avoid tying into the fuel circuit, and tie into the starting circuit. That way, your truck doesn't get cranked to the point the battery is dead, or the starter is fried.

As for the ac engage and od button, I think power is off to them while cranking so you would have to run a standalone source. Maybe a bricknose floor switch for the brights? Looks like its supposed to be there.

I would also just add another switch somewhere hard to find but easy to reach, say under the dash somewhere.

I will study the horn circuit and see if that is possible until then I'll keep the fuel tank selector switch off

The little cubie under the right side dash is were my security switch is located. It only cuts ignition coil but should work.

It's made from computer power connection
