According to my Chilton's, the inertia switch is located behind the passenger side kick panel. That's where it is in my 92 3.0L 2wd XLT. It is the forward most item and can be identified by the red reset button on top. If the inertia switch has tripped, you have to manually reset it by pressing and holding the button at the top of the switch. Continue to hold the reset button until it locks in place.
Why do you need to know? Have you had a collision lately or are you having trouble with your fuel pump? If the later, check this forum for fuel pump problems and you will find some excellent advise.

It could be, like was already mentioned, in the passenger side kick panel, or it could be in the passenger side floorboard next to the Doghouse.
And I've heard some are even located under the hood, but have never seen one.
