Hope the second gen EB comes with a higher than 3.15 ratio.
https://media.ford.com/content/fordm...-best-in-.html

Gonna have to wait for deals on 17s.

You could still get the combo in 2015, I have a friend that has that set up in his Screw XLT with 3.5.

Correct. Just saw that on Ford website. Found a couple of Lariats with the EB SuperCrew 4X4 3.55. The dealers are not inclined to deal much.
It's gonna be a waiting game.

No, but many dealers will add one. I was quoted $38,500 for a New XL Sport RCSB with the stage 2 650HP blower.

Roush dealers sell their version of a SC'd 5.0 4X4, and then there's the Shelby version with it's 2.9 Whipple which should be the fastest with 700HP, (0-60 in 4.5 top speed 135 MPH) but also the most expensive at $100,000.....

A buddy bought a new 16 Sport screw 4x4 with a dealer installed AND warrantied Roush supercharger rated at 600hp.
It's not a Roush truck. Bought at Lebanon Ford in Ohio. I drove it and yes... it's freaking ridiculous. Complements the 5.0 well.
He's hurt quite a few feelings with it as most see a regular white F150.

I bet the new Raptor is going to be much faster. It will have the New 3.5 with 10 speed and 3.73 gears! They haven't posted anything on it yet that I know of.

I watched a new 5.0 truck with the blower run the 1/4 mile in 11.7 seconds at the NMRA World Finals a couple weeks ago. The idea that you can bolt the blower kit onto a full size crew cab truck and blow the doors off a '16 Camaro SS or '16 Mustang GT is very enticing.

Keep in mind, Chevy lost a full half-second to 60 in Car and Driver tests when they switched to 8 speeds from 6. I drove the 8 spd Chevy in my shopping, as well as the Ram's 8spd and I was annoyed how often they were shifting. You lose time with every shift, so I would bet money that if Ford paired the new ten speed to an unrevised engine you'd see a loss in unladen sprint speed. Hopefully the additional power the new EB makes will wash out the losses from the new tranny.

The ten speed is all about minor towing improvements and CAFE standards. With such a wide power band, the EB does not need more gears.

just curious as to why you want fast 0-60 in a pickup truck...wouldn't a 5 litre Mustang better serve this purpose?

Just wanted a DD with some get up and go also.
BTW, I'm disappointed in my Tundra's performance(the one in pic) and have always loved Fords. Wanted to get rid of the Tundra, but wifey says she'll drive it..

While I can't condone exceeding the legal speed limit, I DO condone getting up to it as fast as possible.
Smiles per gallon matter.
