Fuel pump
Well, I was cruising down the highway @70MPH and notice the fuel pressure gauge dropped down to 50 then back to 65. Kept watching the gauge and it would swing back and forth from 55 to 65.
Got off the highway. Nailed it at the light and watched the gauge drop to 53 and swing back to 65. Fuel pressure is not steady either. It swings back and forth from 52 to 65.
Thinking the pump is on its her last legs?
Any suggestions on a replacement pump or other options. Truck got 194K on her.
Thx, in advance.

How full was the tank? If the level was down you might make a tool for checking
for aeration of the fuel.
Here is a tool I made to check pressure with. It has an orifice to simulate WTO
so that you don't have to do that.
Here is my tool. You can do static pressure and dynamic pressure.
When you open the valve to get the dynamic pressure you can watch the hose
to see if there is any bubbles in the line. That line can go right back to the tank
by just sticking the end into the filler or you can just a fuel can.
The orifice I had to order from the local Parker dealer and took about a week to
get it in. I got the idea from a post here in the forum some time ago.

Didn't think about my filters. They both need changing. Haven't changed them since my trip to Canada in June or 7500 miles ago.
Like your setup there.
I'll do something similar.
Thanks again
Time for the fall maintenance before winter sets in.
Thanks.
