Thanks for sharing!
Also a dealer giving you $1500 off invoice and then the $1000 rebate does not sound honest on "invoice" or you were wearing a really short skirt.

thats an awesome price and thanks for sharing helps the rest of us.
could you go with me and order mine lol i wouldn't mind waiting if it saved me that kind of money.
i have the build printout with all the pricing, msrp, invoice, etc..., down to the $79.90 fuel charge in front of me.
just curious what others have done and if i can do better
I got them to waive the $113 fuel charge they wanted and throw in some free oil changes.
Exactly what I was thinking. If you are not doing large fleet volume or have a great long time relationship with dealer....
i got lucky and ended up dealing with the sales manager and not one of the sales guys tho! and he had to pry me away from another dealership i was loyal to!
IMO, when ordering a vehicle, a person should ask for part of the holdback. Of course the dealer needs to make money, but...holdback is intended to cover carrying costs since the vehicle must be paid for once the dealer takes delivery of the truck. However, none of us are going to let a truck we ordered sit on the dealer lot for any significant amount of time hence the dealer has little to no carrying costs. That means the holdback mostly becomes profit. Also, holdback is a percentage of the MSRP so the more expensive the vehicle, the higher the holdback. These trucks are far from cheap....there's a significantly larger holdback built into them. For a stock vehicle yes, for a special order....open to negotiation. I think the rub for some dealers is that people sometimes cancel orders and that's a fair concern. To help alleviate this, I always give my dealer a few thousand down. Just my opinion.
