My garage opening height is 81". I have found varying information on overall height of a 17 F250. I wanted to order a platinum diesel w/ FX4 package. I did not want the cab clearance lights, so that buys some overall height. Can anyone tell me if the 81" garage height will be an issue?

Yes. Your cab may clear, but it'd be very close, my F-250 4x4 (not FX4) sits basically right at 81". But, even if your cab clears, your antenna won't even be close, I'm ordering a shorter antenna for mine.
Thanks - my 12 Raptor fits in my garage easily but the antennae would drag. I cut it down a few inches and all is good now.
I am afraid of the overall height- I don't want it to be line to line in order to get in my garage.
You will have an issue - the truck will sit at 81.5". The Cab lights are not a height factor at all. The cab slopes from rear to front and the lights are below the highest point.
My antenna just bends and bounces back, doesn't bother me a bit.
Antenna is the same for me guys. I've got 82.5 inches to work with and I have about 1-1.5" to spare (haven't actually measured it, but you good a view through the sunroof). Take a look at your trim. If you have a thicker (2") board up there...you may be able to put in a thinner trim piece. I should note that I have the 350 CCSB 4 X 4, but I think they are very similar in height.

Also interested in sourcing a shorter antenna. Mine takes a beating on the garage door.
My truck is an F350 CC SWB 4x4 with 18's, standard suspension. My driveway is fairly flat. The back of the cab clears the gasket on the garage door by about an inch. The gasket hangs down an inch, so really it's about 2 inches between the cab and something solid. If I had gotten 20's and heavier front springs, I might be parking outside.

Mine fits in the garage. See pic. I did have to remove some trim on door. I believe you can see it in picture. It is close. Tire psi. is at 66.
I just took a hacksaw to my antenna like I did on my previous 2011. Works fine and I still get HD channels.

I've been looking at this one. I was going to see if my buddy's antenna on his '14 F-150 fit my truck, just to see, as this should work if it does.
