Roll the dice and gamble. You could come out $4k+ ahead.

Those huge lists of what is covered don't impress me. 90% of what is on the list is small potatoes stuff that you could take care of yourself, or even a shop, for not that much.

Yep, the warranty comes in when you lose a major, expensive component...but really, those failures are few, and the items that are going to bankrupt you are very few. If you can afford a $70k+ truck, you probably have enough in the bank to cover a $10k unexpected repair that might happen once in a blue moon...

Thanks! But then again, America is known for going to the poorhouse in a Cadillac.

I just have always viewed additional warranty as a money-grab for the dealer or manufacturer or whomever happens to be offering it.

Not that it is indicative of things as a whole, but several co-workers and friends have been burned by having problems with their vehicles only to find out their warranty "does not cover..."

Sounds like a dumb marketing combo.

6 year 100000 ESP premiumcare with external lighting less than 2000 bucks. With a truck that depends on electronics for most everything cheap insurance. If you'd rather pay for issues as they come up so be it. I took the gamble.
