gear position indicator
I have an 84 f250 with an auto trans the gear position indicator doesnt work is this a pain to fix.

On my 86 150 it is adjusted by a cable on the steering colume. If this is all it is, it's not hard, just take it apart and look.

on my 83 F150 I had to replace it, its very easy, just a little cable. Had to get it from a scrap yard tho, only other place would be dealer.

Thanks for the help I'll have to take it apart. one other ? will a cable of an 87 ford fit?

not sure, I think I got my cable off of an 86. so 87 might work.

The '87 cluster is different, so that cable won't fit.
