UPDATE! Calling Number Dummy: info about windshield washer, UPDATE!
Bill, or anyone else for that matter:
What can you tell me about the Windshield washer accessory? My 55 F-350 has one. See the pictures below.
All I can find about it is what I see in dealer brochures and catalogs that I have. It is called the "See-Clear Windshield Washer." The part number listed is
TAAA-18293-A. The picture in the Accessories brochure just shows two squirts of water coming out of the nozzle on the hood striking a dirty windshield.
I am missing the jar. The PO told me the original owner had plain water in the glass jar and of course it froze and broke the jar. It is also missing the tubing but that can be easily replaced.

At risk of commiting heresy, I think I have a rectangular plastic washer bottle in a box somewhere left over from a Brit parts car. Need to measure to see what size yours needs, and I'll have to ponder where mine might be. Where ever it is, it's been there 25+ years. It's yours if it'd work, and nobody offers a correct one. Stu

Remember, the chassis catalog says it's the same number 1948-1955. The 1955 book's number I guess is just an update to the number on the eBay unit's box. Stu
Edit - interesting that your number TAAA 18293-A is shown in the 1955 chassis catalog for the 1948-1955 time period, yet the 1955 O.S.I. catalog lists the eBay number 8C 18293-B as obsolete with no superceding number. The jar itself in the 8C 18293-B kit is listed as 51A 17618 for 1948-1951 while the BA 17618-A is shown for 1952 and later. There must be some slight differences in the kit and jar for each group of years that Ford didn't think mattered enough to maintain them as separate applications. Stu

Abe, if I had a work truck, not considering making it a correct show truck, I would use a 1/2 gal milk jug or a mason jar, find the correct size tubing and see if I could get the spray pump to work. I would punch a hole in the top of the new container, run the tubing through the top.
It appears to me you have the pump and reservoir bracket installed. That ebay price is insane.
