Need info on 3 Speed OD transmission available in late 90's F150's, referred to as 'wanna be' Top Loader.
Wanting to put it behind 239 Flathead on 1950 F-3.

With the Flathead having a round bell, you would need an adapter to mate to a later four bolt trans unless the trans is one i'm not familiar with used in another application.
As far as I know, the flatheads never used a four bolt trans right up to 1953.
It's been a long time since I have had anything to do with them having had them from 1932 to 53 for hot rodding and dirt track racing.
Last I had done for this type swap was in reverse putting a 322 V8 Buick against the old Ford floor shift trans in 33 Ford roadster using an adapter.
.
This forum is dedicated to 97-03 F150 4.2 v6, 4.6 v8, 5.4 v8 and V10 engines.
You may want to post in a forum that most would have info.
Good luck.
I've got some more info on the transmission I'm looking for:
It is called a Ford TopLoader, it was manufactured by Ford from 1963 until production was moved to mexico, under the Tremec brand. Was used in any number of Ford vehicles, but there was a heavier duty made for trucks.
'Ford Design 4-Speed 3.03 Top Loader'.
I'm going to put it behind a 239 Flathead.
Any help appreciated.
