Retrax vs. Pace Edwards

Torn between the two. I'm leaning towards the retrax but have heard some bad reviews. Anyone order either yet??

I've never had one either but want one. Reviews are all over the place on both these units but at Amazon the Retrax gets killed and the Pace Edwards does well. As it stands now, the Full Metal Jackrabbit seems to be the best option. The PE roll-up case is smaller and allows for more storage underneath.

I'd love to hear from folks who use the Retrax. Most of the online complaints are around the plastic piece failing too soon.

The polycarbonate retrax fails too soon for sure. The pro is hard to beat. It rolls effortlessly due to its ball bearings. The only disadvantages are cost and canister size.

I had a ReTraxx that was polycarbonate. It broke around 2 1/2 years in. I then bought a Truck Covers USA American Role and it is in its 5th year and second truck and is still looking and working great. Just to add another option into the fray.

I've had pace Edward's on my last two trucks and they both only lasted for 3 years, so I'm trying the retrax pro mx this time.

That's good to hear. I've been eyeballing the American Work Cover Jr.(the roll with the small toolbox) Holds up huh? Mind tossing up a couple pics? Currently I have a Retrax pro MX and like it except for the canister size. Bulletproof otherwise.

I have the retrax Pro on my 2015 F350 and after 2 years it is as good as new. I have ordered the same for my 2017 F450.
