Seem to recall it's possible to install seats from later model Ford trucks thru I believe the 90's. 65-thru 72 seat tracks same. After 72 seat tracks are different but will work by swapping tracks with the original. Believe after 67 thru 90's the seats are slightly wider requiring 1 of the arm rest be removed, and the seat backs and bench are same width so mix and match is possible.
Member's have posted pic's of some very nice swaps in similar threads, a few featured in popular automotive magazines. My backside wore a hole thru the 65 seats after 35 years of use; installed 87 Lariat, low profile, seats in the 65.
I have access to some 65 mustang seats....however I assume the brackets are wrong?
Are the brackets for the seats special to the 61- 66 trucks?
The 4 brackets (shown as 61757 in lower pic) that raise and level the bucket seats are unique to 1965/66 F100/250 Rangers.
These bolt to the truck floor pan, then to the Mustang bucket seat tracks. The brackets are reproduced by an FTE member who lives in Tucson AZ (cannot recall his name).
It was Bill W, but someone else is now making them.
The mustang seats are what I need to be correct for my 66 Ranger. Yes the brackets are unique and there are several threads on FTE discussing the issue with making new brackets.

Would love to find out who that is reproducing them....
Bill_W in Tuscan WAS but apparently retired. Another guy I think in Colorado is thinking about doing them now. Somebody on this forum has the factory dimension specs so all you need is a good brake to bend the bracket up. I researched the Ranger package thoroughly and every Google hit comes back to FTE. Of course I am willing to trade my factory correct bench straight across for your Mustang seats. The Ranger option package is very rare in Canada due to our smaller population and therefore fewer trucks sold in Canada.
I'm pretty sure Kevin Stone in Phoenix, AZ has taken over the manufacture of the bucket seat brackets from Bill Wilson. Kevin also does the one piece forward opening hood conversion. If I didn't get his name exactly right it should be fairly close as I'm going from a 70 year old's faulty memory. Good luck.

If I had rough Dimensions for these...I could make a set....someone mentioned somewhere someone had posted this??
I will take some measurements of my brackets if you want and I will post them here. Advance warning I HATE making sketches and blue prints so it will be Brad CAD not auto cad
I bet those brackets are pretty hard to find......
Not hard to find reproductions

that is correct. Kevin is the guy to contact if you want or need brackets
your mind is as sharp as a tack, Bob. mine is the faulty one... i need to call you.
Questions, will the adapter brackets also work with thunderbird bucket seats, or is it a mustang seat only deal?
Also, I'm assuming some type of riser/adapter brackets would be needed to use a split bench seat out of something like a fairlane or a full size (500, galaxie, etc)?
All of these pics were "jacked" off of the internet and most of them trace back to this forum. The parchment interior is the one my truck is supposed to have but almost all of it is gone.
