So, I normally work with smaller trucks and cars, especially older stuff.
A friend of mine wants to lower his 2002 F350 crewcab diesel dually in the rear.
As it is now the rear sits 4-5 inches higher than the front. This bothers him.
I've checked out the various lowering kits, shackle/hangers etc. I've used some DJM parts before on F100's, but they don't tow anything.
His tows a trailer and racecar, estimated 7,000lbs.
The DJM parts look decent but while reading the instructions they require the removal of a leaf or two and using alternative means to offset that.
My advice for him on this project was, "don't do it, for towing the factory did it like they did for a reason."
He still wants to lower the rear a little still.
Any advice/experiences/thoughts is welcome and appreciated.
