Hi, I’m looking for my Grandfather’s 1980 Ford F100. It was red with white stripes. My grandfather recently passed away and I’d really like to have it back. The last I saw it, my neighbor in Western Massachusetts had bought it. He then sold it. Unfortunately we can’t seem to remember if it was sold to someone in Mass, New Hampshire or Vermont. I’ve had no luck looking up the VIN (F10ECJG4899) online since it’s older than an ‘81. If anyone has any info on where it might be, or any better way I might be able to track it down, I’d really appreciate it. My email is jdwilliams5486@gmail.com
You might try posting this in some of the Facebook groups. They have a LOT of members, and the picture will go right on their feed so it might catch someone's eye if they've seen it. Here are the two bullnose groups that I belong to:
I have to say I did a double take when I saw your picture. It looks to be an Explorer package and a nearly identical looking 1980 truck was recently for sale here in AZ on Craigslist then ended up in the junkyard. Only the one here was an F250.
That was a nice looking truck, I hope you find it...

The current owner can be determined by the VIN, I've found several '60's Galaxies I once owned in CA (with 11 digit VIN's) this way.
Usually, the DMV will not give this info out, so you need to find a "friend" in law enforcement to "run the VIN."
11 digit VIN's were used thru 1980. 1981 thru today have 17 digit VIN's
