Frame swap question

I have a 64 w/ 292 4sp. The PO did a horrible job hacking the frame from a long bed to fit a short bed. I have a buddy with a carcass of a 64 shortbed that I want to use the frame out of for my truck, The question is my truck is the V8 and this frame had an I6 in it. Will that force me to fab anything up to put all my stuff onto that frame?

I really appreciate all the info!

The front engine mounting ear will have to be taken off old frame and welded on new frame. The V8 is shorter than I6. I did one like that 30 years ago.
