Hi there I plan on swapping my 1985 f250 4X4 with a Dana 60 front axle. I saw a 97 f350 for $1200 in good condition just bad motor. I know a 97.has a balljoint axle. Should I use the balljoint Dana 60 or should I just wait to find a kingpin ??

Either or. They both have their pros/cons. I'd run which ever I could find. I have a 93 ball joint going in my f250.
King pin is usually preferred over ball joint but a ball joint axle is still way stronger than the TTB. King pin axles are also getting harder to find and usually demand a higher price.
I scored a king pin Dana 60 with 3.54 gears last month for only $700 that's going into my '84 this winter. I've been looking for one for years but all I could ever find was 4.10 gears. I'd like to find another one for my '92 but they are very tough to find with 3.54 gears.
