Water in fuel/check engine light

I have a 2006 f250 with 120k. Im having trouble getting the water in fuel light off. I drainned the water out and replaced both filters and the fuel water sensor. The check engine light is now on and the water in fuel light is as well. I'm stumped and can't figure out what to do next. Will the check engine light come on as well with the water in fuel light or is it two different problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and answers.

Do you have a way to scan for codes? Injectors do not get along with water all that well, so would be imperative you get the CEL scanned for whatever it is trying to tell you.
I would also suggest getting something to read data live, if you have not already done so.

Water in fuel light may still be on because if it sounds not drained regularly a sludge can build up inside the HFCM and you'll need to take it apart to clean it.

Need a code reader for check engine light
