How much oil?

Ok guys I have a 460 that I just rebuilt and I deleted the oil cooler and replaced it with a two filter relocation kit. I put 7 quarts of oil in to it knowing stock it takes 6. The extra FL1A filter holds almost a quart the I figured what was held in the lines would compensate for the rest of the quart. Well I took my truck out and had a huge oil leak that I determines was due to it being overfull and slinging it out the dip stick hole in the oil pan (I forgot to put the o-ring on). So as of now it is still reading over full.

Has anyone added the summit 2 filter relocation kit and deleted the oil cooler and how much oil do you put in?

It shouldn't be spitting oil from half a quart over full. I'd check your oil filter for seal....if it's really coming out of the dipstick hole then you should check pcv valve and do a blowby test.

Well I'm not sure it was only half a quart over full. Cause I checked it after it all blew out and it was still a half to a quart high.

My oil filters are mounted where on the side of the engine compartment where the factory airborne usually sits.

A little bit of oil makes a huge mess. If you lost a quart it'd seem like the Exxon Valdez.
