Electrical short

Hi to everyone at this forum I hope to get an answer to my problem I have a 2001 f350 dually diesel, I was driving it with no problem and all of the Sudden it die when I was checking the problem I not that the fuse for the diesel pump was blown immediately I replaced it and as soon I tu the key on it blew it right away I fol the wires from the pump to the fuse box and there is no wires grounding so maybe I can get a little bit of help to find the source of the problem any info will help a lot thanks

What was the fuse number? You could disconnect the pump, test the wiring with a DVOM or, if you don't have a meter, you could replace the fuse and see if it blows. If it doesn't then move the wiring around to see if it is a hole in the insulation. If it still doesn't blow, then reconnect the pump. If it blows right away again then I would suspect your pump has grounded itself internally, time for a new pump.

I know you can get them at plenty of places, and Amazon has a good price on the Bosch unit if you do end up needing one.
