Yeah Nimrod....I think a lot of guys will do adjustable...but I was waiting for the adjustable with the 3" shaft. I don't think anyone has one available but they are working on them. I didn't want to buy the 2 1/2 shaft size adjustable and then a month later the 3" shaft comes out!!

Are all the F250 SD equipped with the 3" ball mount or is that a special package?
wow to keep my current hitch Ill need to go with a 8" drop, $114.00 for the draw bar. So the question is should I buy that basically for the Anti Sway features, or go with an adjustable like the weigh safe (299) and go without the anti sway.
You'd have to look at your options to see if you got 535. HD Tow. There are a lot of other "tow" related options and standard stuff listed on the order guide....but you only have the HD Tow Package if you got option 535.

Nope. Mines under preferred Equipment package 608A.
The HD tow package is a upgrade or a special order. I got it. 3-2'5-2". Comes with the insert bushing. Haven't got to mine yet.... F350, CC, 4x4, Long bed. Looking at a 3" when available with a 4-6" adjustable. Not exactly sure yet.

If you purchased an F250 SD you technically will not need the 3" hitch. The 2 1/2" is more than adequate for anything you can bumper tow with that truck. I installed a 2 1/2" on my '01 and can handle 9 ton trailers with up to 2000 lb tongue weight. Of course it is nice to have the reserve towing capacity if the need should ever arise but more weight would require upping the spring package in one way or another, such as the heavy duty tow package does for you.

The F 350 comes with the 3" receiver. Welcome back by the way. The 3" ball mounts should start to populate around November according to the two manufactures I have contacted already. SEMA show at that time is a showcase of aftermarket and conversion products and the more popular brands strive to have their wares available at that time. Geny Hitch said that if I needed one earlier I should contact them directly and they would see if they could get one out to me as soon as possible. No need for me for obvious reasons.

Yes, Thank You, it's good to be home. 4000 on the Oh-Doh now. It's a beast. Didn't see another registered 2017 on the road the whole time.
